The itSMF BS15000 Executive Sub-Committee have initiated a series of training courses focused upon consultants and internal auditors.  The objectives of the training course are to :

1. Provide a core level of consistency regarding use of the standard and code of practice
2. Provide guidance upon scoping an audit and evaluating eligibility for certification
3. Assess through examinations the capability of the delegates to achieve the required competency levels

A training course for consultants and internal auditors took place in July 2004, this was the first official course of its type worldwide and was certified by the itSMF. 

A second course has taken place in Australia in support of their version of BS15000; AS8018 (see the news section for further information). 

In the meantime, the itSMF are in the process of scheduling future training dates based upon current bandwidth, options are being investigated to expand this in a controlled and quality focused fashion.  It is recognised that there is a strong demand for training...watch this space.
